It's been quite a while since I've blogged. I finally managed to make some time to get back into the swing of it. If you've noticed, I've been exploring new places in NYC not only for fun but also to bring something different here to Emijaa Jaaemil. With that said, my first post for 2014 is about my Medieval Escape.
Over the weekend, I visited the Cloisters {a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art}, located in Fort Tryon Park in Upper Manhattan. The walk through Fort Tryon Park to the Cloisters was an adventure in itself. Filled with hills, beautiful arches and hidden stairways, Fort Tryon overlooks the George Washington Bridge, the Hudson River and the New Jersey Palisades. The Cloisters exhibits the museum's unique and extensive collection of architecture and art - dedicated to Medieval Europe dated from the twelfth to the fifteenth century.
After reading about Fort Tryon Park and the Cloisters online, I knew I just had to take photos here.
